Hey there, I’m Krista.  I am a the who is the author of Liten Up!  This is the “about” section where you learn a little bit about why I blog…

How did this all begin?

I started Weight Watchers in August of 2008.  I have been pretty in shape my whole life. Minus, the college years.  I was a size 3 (SIZE 3!) in my senior highschool pictures.  Ok guys, I thought I was fat.  At size 3??  I was insane.

Then the college buffets, trips to Cook-Out (milkshakes are the devil), and walks to Krispy Kreme (more of a stroll, it was just a block away and we drove more that walked-who am I kidding?) really did me in.  I think my metabolism just stopped in college. Well, that’s my story anyway.

I started to get into the double digits in college and then my size 10’s didn’t fit anymore.  I joined WW that Sunday.  I maxed out at 152.6-my highest weight ever.  I am now close to my goal-130 by following the WW lifestyle.

Why did you start a blog?

I started to blog when I found so many great web pages online about weight loss.   I am so interested in nutrition.  I love reading other’s success stories and hope to become one myself. I will be posting recipes that are Weight Watcher point friendly.  Also, my recipes will just make you more healthy in general whether you are counting points or looking for new ideas for dinner!  This website will help me to be more organized and actually remember what recipes I have made.  Also what the point values were for each recipe.

I am becoming more and more healthy by the day.  I love learning new ideas and ways to make my favorite foods even healthier.  I learn from others and hope you learn something from me.

Stay tuned for pics, recipes, and tips as I am trying to lose weight and keep it off!

Disclaimer: I am not a dietician nor a counselor, nutritionist, WW leader or receptionist.  All point values have been calculated by me, not WW and are not guaranteed accurate.  I am just a woman who enjoys making healthy meals according to the WW guidelines!

    Hi,
I work for http://www.aolhealth.com/. We are doing a story on people who are using Twitter to track their weight loss, dieting and/or maintenance as well as swap advice with other twitterers and saw that you’re doing just that, and decided to follow you (Twitter name: Health Pop). Would you be interested in sharing your story and best tip (in tweet-form, of course)?
